What are the requirements for my dog to attend?

1. All dogs must show proof of their updated vaccines (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies-after 16 weeks). These can be uploaded to your account, or you can bring a physical copy or photo to your first visit.
2. All dogs must have a flea/tick/lice treatment of your choice year round.
3. All dogs must be free of lice, fleas, ticks, mange, worms, and any other infections conditions.
4. All dogs must be friendly with dogs & people. Due to our open concept we can not accept dogs who are agressive, resource gaurd, or reactive depending on the cause (i.e fearful of strangers may be worked with)

Do I need to pre-book my dogs visits?

We do ask that clients try to pre-book their daycare and social vistis. This helps make sure we are properly staffed for safety. However, if you are ever looking for a late minute visits, just give us a call to ensure there is a spot available. We can typically accept some last minute pups!
Also, if you pre-book a visit but are not 100% sure on your pick up & drop off time, just book an estimate to save their spot then we can adjust their reservation as needed.

What are your staff credentials?

Each staff member is PackPro certified and trained in proper dog body language & positive techniques.
We have travelled throughout North America going to seminars & classes to gain as much knowledge as we can to offer the best environment for your beloved pups. We aim to stay up to date on new techniques and information to continuously improve our services.
Both managers, Kaya & Cassidy, have been in the industry for over 12 years, and have been working with the owner for 10 of those years.
Our top priority is always the saftey and happiness of each dog in our care. Our goal is to provide a safe, fun, welcoming, & educational experience for each dog and owner that enters the facility!

Does my dog need to come for a trial day/assessment before I can book?

Every dog's first visit will double as their trial day/assessment. This can either be a Breed Meet Up, Stay & Play Social, or a daycare visit (2 hours, half day, or full day). Start with whichever you are comfortable with! If you're not sure what would be best, feel free to give us a call!

Are all the dogs togther in one group?

No, we actually design our play groups based on age, size, & temperament. We typically have at least 2 groups each day (tinies & smalls or mediums) then make additional groups depending which dogs we have each day. We never have tinies with larger dogs for safety, unless they are siblings and having some time together. We also always have a staff member working in each group keeping the dogs safe and engaged.

You are more than welcome to reach out to us with assisstance booking or registering, we are happy to help!

You are also more than welcome to bring in a physical copy or photo of your vaccines instead.

Do you have any size or breed restrictions?

We currently do not have ANY breed or size restrictions. We design our play groups based on age, size, & temperament for safety and to ensure each dog is in a group best suited for them.
During your dog(s) first visit, we will also run an assessment to ensure they are comfortable and enjoying their time with us. Whether they enjoy playing, hanging out with the staff, or watching the other pups run around, we just want to be sure they are happy while in our care.

What if I don't want to leave my dog all day?

We understand not every pup parent needs full day care, so we offer 2 hours, half day (up to 5 hours), & full day options (5+ hours).
Running errands or have an appointment? 2 hours might be perfect!
Need a little longer to get everything done or working a short shift? Try a half day!
At the office all day? We can care for your pup the whole day and into the evening if you need!

How old does my dog need to be to attend?

Puppies can start as young as 12 weeks old with their 2nd round of vaccines (DHPP & Bordetella) as well as their flea/tick/lice treatment if cleared by their veterinarian. Puppies over 16 week will require their 3rd round of vaccines and their Rabies vaccine.
We do run a special schedule for our young puppies to ensure they are getting the correct balance or rest, socialization, & education.

Does my dog need to be spayed or neutered?

Although we do recommend spaying or neutering your pup by 13 months, we are happy to set up a trial day for your intact dog as long as they have never expressed behavioural challenges related to being intact. We will keep you informed if we ever notice it start affecting their experience here as we want all pups to enjoy their time with us.
*Due to our open concept, we can not care for female dogs while they are in heat*

What do the dogs do all day? Are they in kennels?

We only kennel dogs if:
1. They are crate trained or it is cleared with the owner for us to try. In this case, we would never keep a dog crated if they were uncomforable in the crate.
2. If they are a puppy or need a break or nap during their visit.
Otherwise, during your dogs visit they will get to enjoy our splash park and playground, enriching mental stimulation fun in our Scent Den (theme changed monthly), and relax in the Tailz Lounge with our doggy couches and puppy safe ice cream!
Groups are always supervised. Staff are trained in dog body language & coach pups with positive reinforcement techniques.
We cannot forget cuddles and love all day long!
We have mind games and group actives we practice everyday to help our pups with recall, impulse control and proper socialization skills.=

How can I see the fun my dog has during the day?

We post photos on Facebook at the end of each day of every dog free of charge! If you do not have Facebook, just let us know and we can make a note to text you a few each visit.
These are posted to our Facebook page: Fantasia Dogs

Can I stay with my Dog?

Parents are able to stay for both the Stay & Play Socials and Breed Meet Ups. Unfortunately we do not allow owners to stay during daycare as we have some dogs who are nervous around strangers and it can sometime cause more stress when leaving your pup.

What is the Stay & Play Social?

During these socials, owners can come and play with their dog(s) in the facility while staff are present to help monitor play or answer any questions you may have! These are run on a bi-weekly schedule and we have certain nights for different groups. and if you are unsure which day would be best for your pup just give us a call.
This can be a great start for some pup parents to see how their dog likes the environment as well as meet the staff before moving to daycare.
*All dogs must meet the our general requirements.

That is no problem, we have lots more for them to do! We will not make any dogs go into the water if they do not want to. However, if they are showing interest in it, we will work to help build their confidence around it and maybe they'll get comfortable enough to dip their toes in!
